Your Innkeepers - Mike & Nancy
We can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful house in the Cap Sante neighborhood of Anacortes.
For some time we had been thinking about the “next chapter” in our lives. We both had very different careers, Nancy in high-tech and Mike in construction. We were looking for something that would allow us to slow down a bit and enjoy more of Washington State. We love to travel and meet new people, so we landed on the idea of opening and running a Bed & Breakfast. So in the summer of 2012 we made the big move!
From the moment we saw the house and the neighborhood, we were hooked. We decided that Anacortes was going to be our new home and the place we were going to open our new B&B. The house resembles a Victorian from the late 1800’s, although it was actually built in 1996, and it seems it was meant to be a B&B from the start. The bedrooms are all roomy with lots of windows and sunlight! The house is located in the Cap Sante neighborhood, which features large oak trees, beautiful houses, and wonderful views of the Guemes Channel.
We spent the summer of 2012 getting to know Anacortes and the surrounding area, along with getting the house ready for guests. We are boaters, so we spent lots of time on the water and catching our share of Dungeness crabs. We discovered there is always something going on in Anacortes - from Shipwreck Days (July), to the Arts Festival (August), to Oyster Run (September). If you’re interested in live music, it can always be found at numerous venues in town. Check out the location tab for some of our favorite places.
We look forward to meeting you, sharing our beautiful home, neighborhood and town in the near future (oh, and you can also meet Duke, our Boston terrier).
